Also this year the Wearable Tech Torino will be preceded by an Hackathon, organized by JEToP and Treatabit, devoted to wearable technologies. It will take place on November, the 12th and 13th. The competition, open to everybody, is focused on the practical development of your own idea.
Participants will have 32 hours to develop a working prototype; the location of the event will be the I3P, the Incubator of Politecnico of Turin, technical partner of the competition.
Using the components supplied by international companies, you can project a software application for smartwatch or develop a prototype that shows the features of a new hardware solution.
The winning team of the competition will be awarded during the closing ceremony of the WTT, getting the opportunity to present its ideas in front of an audience of managers, business angels and journalists.
The best software idea will be awarded with a wearable device and € 150 of Google Play advertising to launch its own application, while the best hardware idea will receive a voucher of € 500 to spend on the purchase of material useful to the development of the idea on the online store Element14. I3P will also give to one of the teams the opportunity to enjoy a period of free pre-incubation.
